How to Give a Candle Wax Massage

A candle wax massage can be an intimate and relaxing experience, perfect for your wedding night. The uniqueness of performing this type of massage is the incorporation of heat. This type of massage helps to soothe muscles, relax the nervous system, ease tension and pain and release the benefits of aromatherapy using essential oils.

  * *Note: Essential oils are natural oils obtained by distillation and having the characteristic fragrance of the plant or other source from which it was derived.**

And I know you may be thinking, why in the world would me burning myself or my partner be sexy? In the article below, that topic and many others will be covered. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you give a soothing candle wax massage:

1. Choose the Right Candle

Select a massage candle made specifically for skin application. These candles are usually made from natural ingredients like soy wax, shea butter, and essential oils, which are safe and nourishing for the skin. Soy wax is usually used more often because it melts at a lower temperature.  So it never really gets hot enough to do serious damage.

2. Set the Mood

Create a relaxing atmosphere with dim lighting, calming music, and aromatic scents. Light the massage candle and let it burn for about 15-20 minutes. This allows the fragrance to fill the room and awaken the senses. It also gives the wax time to create a pool of warm wax. Reminder-patience is very important. Just like you can't rush a cake while it's cooking you cannot rush this process. Rushing this step could result in wax that's too hot to handle.

3. Test the Temperature

Before applying the wax, test its temperature by placing a small amount on the inside of your wrist. The wax should be warm but not too hot.

4. Pour and Massage

Once there is a good-sized pool of melted wax, blow out the candle and let it cool for a bit. Gently pour the melted wax onto your partner’s skin or into the palm of your hand, starting with their back or shoulders. You can use your hands or turn your partner into a canvas by applying the oil with a soft brush. Then massage the wax into their skin, using slow and firm movements. Focus on areas of tension and knots, applying more wax as needed.

5. Communicate

Ask your partner for feedback on the pressure and temperature to ensure they are comfortable. Adjust your technique accordingly.

6. Finish with Care

Continue the massage until the wax is fully absorbed into the skin, leaving it soft and moisturized. Conclude the session with whatever your hearts desire.

7. Final Thoughts

Since the waxes used were natural, they can easily be washed off with warm water and mild soap in a shower or bath. If there is any residue left on your linen and or clothing, it should come out easily in the wash.

Candle massage is more than just a trendy thing to try, it's a way to connect with your partner in a different way. It nourishes the mind, body, and soul.

By following these steps, you can create a memorable and soothing candle wax massage experience for you and your partner. Enjoy the moment and cherish the connection you share.

**Note: One of my favorites is the Shunga brand. They leave me feeling sexy and energized for whatever comes next. My favorite fragrance is Libido-Exotic Fruits.**
